Sponsorships & Collaborations

Thank you for your interest in working together!

It’s an honor that I’m on your radar, and that you think it’s in your best interests to work with me.

I’ve made this page to give you some clarity in how I work, my decision making process when it comes to brands / people that I work with, and anything else that might influence whether or not it makes sense to continue the conversation.

My audience tends to trust my reviews / perspectives for several reasons. At the end of the day it’s better for any sponsors since a positive endorsement comes with a guarantee that I’m not a “bought-and-paid-for shill.”

In order to keep things as honest as possible & as valuable to my audience & sponsors, both, here’s my approach:

  • I offer zero editorial control. My channel is my channel. People subscribe for my thoughts; not someone else’s thoughts in my voice. To that end, I will reject any and all requirements to parrot any talking points, feature descriptions, or anything else that could be construed as “it would be nice if you said XYZ about us.”
  • I offer zero pre-launch feedback opportunities. You will not have a chance to review the video before it goes live. I work best by myself and with my team who has worked hard to understand my larger vision for my brand, messaging, positioning, philosophy, values, and more. That small circle of trusted creative consultants does not include sponsors.
  • I have to like your project. If it isn’t focused on privacy, user-empowerment, or freedom then we’re probably not going to be a good fit. I work hard to help people free themselves from the corporate surveillance software quagmire that is modern life. If you are building yet-another-silo or it’s some reskinned con from history, then there’s a near-zero chance we’ll agree on philosophical grounds. That also means we’re not going to find an agreement in financial ranges either. Integrity doesn’t sell for cheap!
  • I am compensated for involvement and results. My creativity, messaging, insight, and collaboration are the main way I help my consulting clients. They pay a flat rate for my involvement as well as a percentage of the improvement they see from my work. I require the service fee because if their execution of my strategy is lacking then that hurts my affiliate & commission results. I don’t appreciate my compensation being dependent on someone else’s skills (however good they may be). At the same time, the percentages help us find an affordable service fee that leaves room for everyone to benefit when the project is a smash success.

If you have gotten this far then you have a good idea what it would look like for us to work together. Please send me a message letting me know that we should continue the conversation.

If, on the other hand I sent you this link and I don’t hear from you within a reasonable timeframe (2-4 days), then I will consider it a no. To that end I will set up an email filter that keeps all messages from your domain out of my inbox.

Thank you for reading!
